He currently lives and settled in the United Kingdom

return to the United Kingdom to live permanently

Getting unmarried partner to join the UK?

You and your partner must show that:

any previous marriage or similar relationship is definitely broken

you lived in a matter related to marriage for two years or more

Do you have adequate accommodation, owned or operated for only two of you, if you and your dependents can not live without the help of public funds

You can support yourself and any dependents without help from public funds

intends to live permanently

your partner is over 18

you are 16 years or more

Entry Clearance Officer requires proof of a relationship of two years. This may include documents showing joint commitments, such as bank accounts, investments, leasing, mortgages, correspondence connects to the same address and the address of official documents such as national insurance card or health care.

Was allowed to remain in the UK and work for two years initially. Towards the end of this period, if still partners and still intend to live together, you can apply to remain in the United Kingdom permanently.

If you have lived in the United Kingdom in matters of marriage, for four years or more, will be allowed in the United Kingdom for an indefinite period.

You must obtain entry clearance (more commonly called the "visa") before visiting the UK as a spouse, boyfriend or partner.

The rules are different if you can claim British citizenship or other relationship with the United Kingdom, for example, by descent.
